ABOUT STEADFAST

The purpose behind Steadfast

We help dealerships improve their operations and put protection products into practice. Our purpose begins with the people who make those businesses work.

WHY STEADFAST BEGAN

Someone believed in me. I wanted to give others the same opportunity.

Matthew Fleetwood · Founder

Earlier in my career, someone in the consulting world believed in me as an individual and helped the business I worked in. That experience changed my life. It showed me the difference it can make when someone sees your potential and helps you develop it.

I started Steadfast because I wanted to give others that same opportunity. Helping people grow—and seeing their businesses grow with them—is what drives me. Through dealership operations consulting and protection products, we work to give people the guidance, processes, and support they need to move their businesses forward.

What we believe—and how we work

Invest in people

Believe in people’s ability to grow. Give them clear expectations, useful feedback, and the authority and support to make decisions. Develop managers who can lead their departments with confidence.

Take ownership

Be clear about who owns the work, what needs to happen, and when to follow up. Hold people accountable fairly, address problems directly, and honor the commitments we make.

Follow through for customers

The relationship continues after the sale. A delayed part, a service concern, or a question about a protection product deserves clear communication and someone willing to see it through.

Understand the work before changing it

Listen to the people doing the work, check the source records, and understand the cause before recommending a change. Build repeatable processes that a dealership can use consistently and evaluate over time.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

From service to dealership operations

I’m an operations leader and entrepreneur with more than a decade in powersports and marine. My background includes leading multiple dealership locations in North Carolina, with responsibility for sales, F&I, service, parts, inventory, marketing, and customer experience.

I started in service, where I learned how much a customer’s experience depends on what happens when there is a problem. A delayed part, a repair waiting on authorization, or a missed update can affect the entire relationship. I still approach that work the same way: take responsibility, communicate clearly, and follow through.

Systems, parts workflows, and analysis

My work includes parts workflows, inventory processes, Lightspeed DMS, and financial analysis. I also use AI-assisted analysis to examine dealership data in greater depth, identify patterns, and investigate questions that routine reports can leave unanswered. A useful finding has to hold up against the source records and what the team sees in the store.

Developing people and consistent processes

Developing capable managers is a central part of my work. Employees need clear expectations, fair accountability, and the authority and support to make decisions. I help dealers turn those expectations into repeatable processes, so consistent performance does not depend on one person keeping everything together.

The perspective of a business owner

Owning H2 Grow LLC also keeps me involved in estimating, pricing, equipment decisions, job costing, and field execution. Running a business with limited time and resources reinforces my preference for recommendations that can be put into practice and evaluated against the results.
